Prayer Gatherings -
Prayer has been, and will always be, an integral aspect of our relationship with
God. Each Wednesday night we gather in the Upper Room in front of the Sanctuary
for a time of devotion and prayer.
Worship and Praise Team - Taking
faith to a new level! If you have a problem staying in your seat when its
time to praise the Lord you just might be called to our Praise and Worship
team! We count it a privilege to lift up the name of Jesus with our voices &
instruments. The word says, He inhabits the praises of His people.
Audio and Visual Committee - Our audio and visual team setup and run
the technical portion of our ministry. Responsibilities include week to
week oversight of the technical aspects of our worship services to helping with
occasional offsite concerts and presentations.
Music Committee - The Music Committee arranges and
coordinates musical presentations for our worship services. If you would like
to present a special musical offering during one of our services these are the
folks to see.
Choir Our Choir is made up of people who love to
lift their voices in magnification of the Lord. The choir meets seasonally
to prepare special musical presentations during our worship times. If you love
to sing wed love you to join us in praising our wonderful Savior!
Christian Ed.
Christian Ed committee is responsible for organizing, supervising
and administering the educational program of the church. Our goal is to create
disciples, who in turn create disciples, who in turn create disciples.
Sunday School Our Sunday School offers classes for students of all ages.
Classes start at
9:00am each Sunday morning. Normally there are a couple of adult electives in
addition to the classes offered to different age groups. Expand your knowledge
of the Word of God by joining a Sunday School class this week.
Vacation Bible School
This is a once-a-year summer program to reach kids in the general
vicinity of E.B.C. Kids have a blast learning biblical truth in a week long
creative program of games, lessons and crafts.
Nursery Our desire is to provide T.L.C. for your
young ones so that mom and dad can relax comfortably during the worship
service. We strive to create a loving, positive and secure environment where
little ones can come to learn about who God is and His love for us.
Women's Ministries
Meeting every Wednesday evening, is all about women ministering
to women. Sharing our lives Encouraging one another Guided by the Living
Word of God. Meets weekly on Wednesday at 7:00 PM in the Memorial Room.
Mens Night Out Men helping men to know and grow in their walk with the
Lord. Mens night out is a quarterly meeting which features a great meal,
a great speaker and having a great time together. We meet in the Family Activity
Center and would welcome you at our next gathering.
Trustees -
Trustees have oversight responsibility for the physical properties of the
ministry. If you like working with your hands doing maintenance,
landscaping or the occasional repair job, the trustees would welcome your help.
Hospitality -
The hospitality team is a very important part of our ministry. Providing
"meals-while-you-heal" helping with a number of fellowship activities in the
church and caring for people in need the hospitality team is a ministry of
service and compassion.
Archery Ministry -
The Archery Ministry is a weekly gathering which meets on Friday evening in
the Family Activity Center. Our purpose is to meet for fellowship,
enjoyment of the sport and to encourage each other in our walk with the Lord.
Seniors - All senior adults are invited to our monthly programs and
luncheons held at E.B.C. Gatherings normally take place in private homes
throughout the area and normally include a guest speaker talking about issues
relevant to seniors. The Senior Adult Ministry occasionally organizes day trips
as well. If you are a senior, we would love to have you join us.
Life Groups Love. Interaction. Fellowship. &
Encouragement. Four things we all need. Four things God has designed the Church
to accomplish. L.I. F.E. Groups meet at different times & places throughout the

Olympians -
One of our most popular ministries, the
Olympians program for grades one through six, meets weekly, on Wednesday
evenings, from 7:00 pm until 8:30pm. In addition to teaching children the
significance of Biblical events and truths in today's world, proper moral and
ethical values are nurtured in a loving Christian environment during this
critical period of childhood development. For more info, see the

Teen Club Live it Like You Mean It! The Bible tells us to be ready
always to give an answer for the reason of our hope. Young people need to know
the Bible, not just know about the Bible. We are called to know it and live
it. Teen Club provides
the fun the drive and the atmosphere for teens to live out their daily lives
according to the Living Word. Club meets every Wednesday at 7:00pm. Frequent
trips and activities and service projects are all part of the program. Come

Kingdom Kids -
Our pre-school
daycare providing faith based childcare for 1/2 days on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Our purpose is to provide a loving Christian environment conducive to the growth
and development of preschool children, ages 3 through 5. The program is
designed to help children form healthy relationships to grow as people made in
God's image. Bible stories and songs, along with Bible memory verses are
included to give children an awareness of God's love.
Missions Committee E.B.C. is a church committed to Missions! Whether
in our own backyard, or around the world, we take the charge to go and make
disciples of all nations and to declare His glory among the nations seriously.
Our missions committee keeps in touch with our supported missionaries and keeps
us informed of what God is doing in their lives.

Deacons -
The spiritual
leadership of Eastford Baptist Church, under the headship of Christ, is provided
by the Deacons and the Pastor. Our Deacon Board consists of 8 men who are
elected by church members. The Deacons are responsible for shepherding and
overseeing the people of the church. Shepherding is accomplished as the Deacons
model Christian living and servant leadership, and teach, exhort, and correct
according to Scripture. Their aims are the spiritual welfare of each individual
and the growth towards Christlikeness of the Body of Believers.

Executive Board -
The Executive Board
is comprised of coordinators in several key ministries of the church and 5
additional people chosen from the congregation. The Boards responsibility is
to oversee the financial affairs of the church and to serve as a liaison between
all the ministries of the church.
Clerical Committee -
The clerical
committee helps with the printing and mailing of church publications.
Cemetery Committee -
The cemetery
committee is in charge of the care and upkeep of the cemetery of the church.
