L.I.F.E. Groups:

What are Life Groups?
A group of 8-12 people who meet regularly in homes for friendship, encouragement, Bible study and prayer.

When do they meet?
That depends upon each group.
Most groups meet on Sunday evenings.  But each group has it’s own schedule of meetings.
Group meetings are also dependant upon the seasonal times of the year.

What do they study?
Again that depends upon each individual group.
Each group determines the topics they want to pursue as they study the Bible.

What Happens at a Life Group?

Loving – Jesus gave all of us a New Command: “A New Command I give you: Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  Our love of God must be translated to love for one another.

Interacting - God never intended us to pursue Him alone. We need each other, desperately - now, more than ever. Scripture commands us in Hebrews 3:13: “Encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.”
We need each other daily. For the follower of Jesus, interacting with one another is not an option.

Fellowshipping – When some folks hear the word “fellowship” they think of church basements and casserole dishes, but it was never meant to be that way.  Fellowship is a biblical word that carries deep meaning.
In fellowship we are are drawn into interconnectedness with one another.  As we enjoy life together, Jesus leads us into experiencing real joy.  “We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us.  And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.  We write this to make our joy complete.”

Encouraging -  Let’s face it – everyone needs a little encouragement now and then.  “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”    Encouragement can’t happen in a vacuum.  Everyone experiences times when we need prayer, a listening ear, someone to laugh with or just someone to share an encouraging word.  Life is like that.  The casual informal atmosphere of a L.I.F.E. group provides a regular setting for us to minister encouragement to one another.
